DMCA / Copyright Policy
Effective date: June 3, 2026
Last updated: June 3, 2026
If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice with the required information to [email protected]. We review notices and, where justified, remove access to the content. The user who provided the content may dispute a wrongful removal through a counter-notice.
CreatorNote respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512) and applicable local law, we review copyright infringement notices and remove access to content we find to be infringing. This page explains how to submit a notice and how the process works.
1. Overview
CreatorNote is an AI-assisted content tool offering features such as YouTube transcription, PDF summarization, speech-to-text, subtitle translation, and AI chat. Users process content they provide themselves (links, files, text). If you believe a user is using the Service in a way that infringes your copyright, or that content displayed on the platform (for example, in blog comments) infringes your rights, you may notify us using the procedure below.
2. Who May Submit a Notice
A notice may be submitted by the copyright owner or by a person legally authorized to act on the owner's behalf (such as an attorney or agent). For your notice to be valid, it must include all of the information in Section 3.
3. What Your Notice Must Include
A valid copyright infringement notice must be in writing and include the following elements:
a. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (if a single notice covers multiple works, a representative list is sufficient).
b. Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough information to let us locate it (for example, a link/URL, page name, or a clear description).
c. Your contact information: full name, address, telephone number, and email.
d. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
e. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
f. The physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or their authorized agent.
4. Where to Send Your Notice
Send your notice with the subject line "DMCA / Copyright Notice" to: [email protected]. This is the designated channel for copyright complaints; requests submitted through other channels (social media, support chat, etc.) may not be treated as valid for legal purposes.
5. What Happens Next
When we receive a valid notice, we review it within a reasonable time and, where justified, remove or disable access to the content. We inform the user who provided the content about the removal and their right to file a counter-notice. For incomplete or unclear notices, we may ask you for additional information before taking action.
6. Counter-Notice
If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include: (a) your signature; (b) identification of the removed content and its location before removal; (c) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (d) your contact information and consent to jurisdiction. After a valid counter-notice, the content may be restored unless the original complainant provides evidence that they have initiated legal action.
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
Where appropriate, we suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others. We also remind you that knowingly submitting a false notice may result in legal liability.
8. Contact and Legal Note
